CBA Archers Travel Teams — 2026 Season Overview

The CBA Archers will field two 18U Travel Teams for the 2026 season:
🟥 Team Red and ⚪ Team White

Both teams will participate in weekly scrimmages, exhibitions, and tournaments, focusing on player development, competitive experience, and college exposure.

🧢 Team Focus & Structure

  • Team White
    Designed for athletes gaining experience in travel baseball. Competes against:

    • Baseball Alberta 18U AA teams

    • American Legion teams

    • U.S. High School teams

    • Western Frontier Baseball League teams

  • Team Red
    Built for athletes seeking post-secondary exposure. Competes against:

    • Baseball Alberta 18U AAA teams

    • American Legion & U.S. High School teams

    • 22U programs and advanced-level teams

🧪 Tryouts for 2026 Teams

Dates: August 23–24, 2025
Location: Iron Horse Fields – Diamond #1, Langdon, AB

  • Saturday, Aug 23: Skills Evaluation

  • Sunday, Aug 24: Scrimmage (Game Play Assessment)

Age Eligibility: 14–19 years old (some overage spots available)
Returning 2025 players who haven't aged out are invited back, with placement based on 2025 performance and tryouts.

Roster Size: 16 players per team
Open Spots: ~10–15 total between both teams

🏋️ Spring & Summer Training

  • Spring Training: Starts March 2026 (after winter program ends)

  • Practice Schedule: 2–3 days/week indoors (March/April), shifting outdoors as weather allows

  • Game Schedule: Begins April

  • Home Diamonds: Langdon (games), Langdon & Keoma (practices)

  • Estimated Player Engagement: 100+ field sessions from March–July

📅 Season Timeline

  • Exhibition Games: ~20–25 from April–July

  • Tournaments: 4–6 total, including travel

  • Mixed Scrimmages: 8–10 between Team Red & White

  • Season End: Late July

  • Break: August off before 2026–27 Winter Training

🌎 Possible Spring Training Trip

We are exploring a Spring Break 2026 Training Trip to the Dominican Republic or Cuba

  • Separate from team fees

  • Fundraising required

  • Open to one or both teams
    Trip viability based on athlete & family interest

  • Olds Spitfire Tournament (July Long Weekend)

  • Spokane Wood Bat Classic (July)

  • CBA Archers Tournament – Langdon (July 11–12)

  • Central Alberta Wolves Tournament (Late July)

  • Events in Kamloops, Kelowna, Langley, Missoula (MT), Havre (MT), Helena (MT), Whitefish, Libby, Spokane, Seattle, Portland

🎉 Additional Team Activities

  • Team Social Events – 1–2 per season

  • Community Outreach – Host local youth baseball camp

  • End-of-Season Wind-Up Party – For players and families

💲 Program Cost

Total Cost: $5,250 + GST

  • Winter Training (Oct–Feb): $2,625 + GST

  • Season (Mar–July): $2,625 + GST

  • Includes:

    • All practices, scrimmages, tournaments

    • CBA Archers uniform & apparel package

    • Does not include travel costs
